Codes are very important on a forum, so knowing how to write them without pressing those little buttons will help out a lot. In this guide, I will show you how to write different codes that will help you out on this forum.
BASICS OF CODES The format used on Proboards is called BBC. BBC is almost the same as HTML, so if you know the basics of HTML, you know the basics of BBC. -----BRACKETS All codes written in BBC use brackets. These are brackets- [ ]. There are no codes that do not use these in BBC. They are the equivalent of tags in HTML- < > -----FORWARD SLASHES A forward slash is used to end a code. Example-
dark Notice that the first set of brackets just has the letter b, but the second has a forward slash- / as well. These symbols show that a code has ended. -----ABBREVIATIONS This is very simple. Instead of saying [bold], you would say [ b].
BASIC CODES These codes are very easy to type and remember. -----BOLD LETTERS Bold letters can put emphasis on things and make them stand out.
