Welcome to WCTND, or Warrior Cats The New Dawn! My name is Sepia, and I'm one of the admins here. I have been roleplaying for about three years, so I know a fair amount about it. Roleplaying can take some time to perfect, but here are the basics you should know.
1. Post in third person.
Right: Lilystream walked up to Bellwing and shoved the mouse in her face.
Wrong: Lilystream walks up to Bellwing and shoves the mouse in her face.
2. Now powerplaying (PP).
Right: Rainstar unsheathed her claws and leaped at Downyflight, aiming to rake the tom's flank.
Wrong: Rainstar unsheathed her claws and leaped at Downyflight, raking the tom's flank.
3. Use proper grammar.
Right: Moonshadow loved to hunt, and today she was going hunting with her best friend Smokefang!
Wrong: M0onshdow luvd 2 hunt, & 2day she wuz goin huntin w/ her bff Smokefang!
4. No double posting.
Right: Making a post, then realizing you didn't add something, so you modify it.
Wrong: Making a post, then realizing you didn't add something, so you make another post.
5. When posting as two separate cats, please make the actions different paragraphs.
Right: Poppymoon sighed.
"What's wrong?" asked Dawnshadow.
Wrong: Poppymoon sighed. "What's wrong?" asked Dawnshadow.
6. Use punctuation.
Right: Purplemist looked up at the sky. The moon was near full; the Gathering would start soon.
Wrong: purplemist looked up at the sky the moon was near full the gathering would start soon
If you follow these six simple rules, you will be off to a good start here on WCTND! There is a lot more to roleplaying though, so you will have to learn. Remember though, if you ever need help, just ask an admin or moderator, we'll be happy to help.
